Hello! This is the blog of Caramel Créme. He loves baking and makes all sorts of sweets, not to mentions loves meeting new ponies. Please feel free to give me art prompts, this is an art blog after all. Please feel free to ask me anything, I'll try and...
A draw of the delightful @jitterbugjive since Im still a huge admirer of his art, and his sona is a hunk tbh.
I know I haven’t been drawing or posting here much, and theres a good reason for that. When I started CCP, I was suffering with extreme chronic depression, I was on the very edge of the cliff, I even put my ‘antidepressants’ on the cutie mark of my pone-sona (quotation marks because its a long story of how my psychiatrist and mother conspired against me by giving me strattera, a common ADHD medicine because they wanted me to get better grades regardless of depression while telling me they were actual antidepressants, but since it wasn’t actually the root cause of the issue my dosage just constantly increased giving me severe stomach ulcers and chronic pain worsening my depression to the point I attempted BUT ANYWAY), I used this blog as a way to cope. I had to force myself into a happy head-space in order to draw Caramel, and it worked for the most part, but for about a year I’ve been on real antidepressants and actually been in a healthier mind space. I havent been drawing Caramel because I just dont really feel the need to anymore. I do still draw though, near everyday, I just post them to different accounts due to their unrelated to mlp nature, and I dont think I’ll draw him anymore.
Anyhow, sorry for the ramble and thank you for coming along for the ride.
witchyrem-ains asked: I heard about Greg on unflatteringcatselfies, where you wrote that Greg emerged from the rain forest and decided he was going to be your cat. And I'm dying to know more about him!
Aight, get ready for the long haul. We only had two cats post Greg; Felicity and Edgar. Edgar came into our life via legitimate means, by that I mean we were allowed one female kitten by dad, so we came home with twin boi kittens and just showed him one at a time, it worked for about a week until both decided to go for a waddle in front of dad. Two years later, one meant missing via python, and the remaining one is our panther, Edgar. Felicity came via more Greggy means.
We used to house tenants in some of town houses, and one time we had some gosh awful ones that came with three cats, and sprinted from 4 months of rent only taking two cats. We saw this mangy tortoise shell cat around the house for a couple days thinking it was a neighbours cat, until we realised she’d been abandoned. Dad gave her his ice coffee, which we gratuitously drank half a bottle of, and he’s been in love with the grumpy ball of bitterness and fluff ever since.
Now these two sources are important, since dad was seemingly against getting any other pets on the farm since he falls in love really easily. For several months we saw this seemingly referral cat wondering around the farm, which we were against since we’re all about protecting them native birbs. Until one day I was home alone and I hear some squeaky mewing outside. Theres this grubby looking grey cat sitting on the rock wall between us and several km of rainforest, mewing like a kitten with Edgar watching intently, occasionally grumbling at him. So I approached the cat incase he was a lost farm cat, he was rather skittish but I soon saw he was pretty darn lean, so I ran inside and got him a big plate of cat food, which he ate with great gusto. I sat next to him while he ate, and by god he was covered in paralysis ticks, so I began pulling them all off. It was at this point I fell in love with the beastie, as he sat in my lap on his own accord a top the rock wall, much to Edgars dismay.
So I walked inside to get him more food, only to find he’d followed me. At this rate I invited him it, and called up dad, asked how he felt about another felicity situation, which he just said it’s fine but as long as I take him with me when I move. Dad got home an hour later, and fell head over heals for Greg and vice versa. The first thing he did when he was on dads lap for the first time was lovingly claw his titty with a look of absolute admiration on his face, as depicted below.
And it’s all been history since then. It’s been decided that I cannot in fact take Greg when I move out because he is a central part of the family. He was neutered and had a neuter tattoo but no chip and no one had reported a lost cat so he officially became part of the family. There was a recent scare however, with someone telling the vet they lost a grey cat a few months ago, but looking at the photo, turns out they had actually lost a clementine girl cat with blue eyes so we good.
Greg still dribbles when he purrs, loves to play with feathers, loves our wolfhound like they’re soul mates, and still has a slight rivalry with Edgar, and I love him to pieces.
And thats the chronicles of Greg, the most loving sweet bean we’ve ever met.
Inktober day 2
A cool creature, as followed along by @burntspinach inktober list.
I thought I’d make up my own species and ended up with something called a ribbon tail 😁
